Survey Terms and Conditions

The Survey Terms and Conditions apply to all surveys initiated by Sign Language 101 LLC on the Sign Language 101 software platform, our commercial website at https://www.signlanguage101.com, third-party survey providers, or through social media platforms or marketing campaigns (collectively “Services”). Restrictions on participation or eligibility for any offered prizes will be disclosed in a specific survey. Sign Language 101 is excited to capture your feedback and committed to continued product improvement that reflects customer input.

About Surveys

Sign Language 101 commissions surveys to gain valuable customer insights on various topics. Information gathered from survey responses is used to better understand customer needs, improve customer services, and further enhance the Sign Language 101 software platform and course offerings. We are seeking to gain customer insights, including what our customers value and their ecosystems, and to analyze common experiences and data points across a broad survey pool so we can optimize our customers learning experiences.

Eligibility

Without exception, you must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to participate in a survey or qualify for prize awards. By accessing, using and/or submitting survey responses and other content and information, you represent that you are at least sixteen (16) years old if you are a resident of the European Economic Area, or an adult in any other jurisdiction.

Prize Awards

From time to time we may offer a prize award as part of a survey. Participation in any survey is subject to the official rules or guidelines governing that survey, which may be announced, but regardless of whether specific rules are announced, all such opportunities will be controlled by the Survey Terms and Conditions, unless specifically superseded by survey-specific rules. Please also be aware that if a third party administers the survey, your participation may be subject to additional terms and conditions, and you should specifically read such third party’s rules, terms of services, and privacy policies before participating. You agree that Sign Language 101 is not responsible for such third parties’ promotions. The following terms and conditions shall apply to prize awards.

  • The prize draw for a specific survey occurs as a once off for the entire survey campaign (“Prize Draw”);
  • There is one prize award allocated to be won for a specific survey (“Prize”) unless otherwise specified in the survey invite;
  • Sign Language 101 shall in its sole discretion determine the Prize and shall specify that prize on the survey invite;
  • Entries to win the Prize are restricted to one entry per individual per Prize Draw;
  • To qualify to enter the Prize Draw, you must fully complete the survey via the official survey invite (“Eligible Entrant”);
  • The winner(s) will be drawn at random from all Eligible Entrants who completed the survey within the time-period specified in the survey invite (“Eligible Time Period”);
  • The winner of a Prize shall be subject to any independent terms and conditions applicable to that Prize. For example, if the prize is an online e-gift card, the Prize is accepted subject to the gift card terms and conditions, including rules of expiration and restrictions on use;
  • The Prize is not transferrable or redeemable for cash;
  • The Prize Draw supervisor’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into by Sign Language 101;
  • Winner(s) of a Prize Draw will be notified using the email address submitted by the participant during the survey;
  • The selected winner(s) of a Prize Draw will have 90 days from the date of the initial notification email to claim their Prize. If the Prize is not claimed within 90 days, the Prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn from the remaining Eligible Entrants;
  • Prizes of an electronic nature will only be delivered to a user-specific email address and will not be delivered to a group email address;
  • Neither Sign Language 101 employees nor their immediate family members living at the same residential address nor associated agencies of Sign Language 101 are eligible to enter into the Prize Draw as individuals or representatives of a business;
  • Sign Language 101 reserves the right to vary, suspend, or terminate the Prize Draw at any time including, but not limited to, replacing a Prize with an alternative Prize, which Sign Language 101 shall make every reasonable effort to only do when circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so, and shall endeavor to ensure the alternative Prize has the same or greater face value;
  • Sign Language 101 reserves the right not to award a Prize to a winner who is an existing customer whose has an account that is in default or has been closed due to misconduct either during or after the Eligible Time Period(s) but before the Prize has been issued.

Data Privacy and Consent

As disclosed in our Privacy Policy, we collect personal data (defined in our Privacy Policy) through surveys and other feedback provided by you. Where relevant, Sign Language 101 aggregates and anonymizes the responses received and you are no longer identifiable. Where there is a legitimate reason, such as for entering the Eligible Entrant into a Prize Draw or to retain for future contact, limited personal data such as your contact information, business name you represent, and your title, will be retained. For more information on how we use your personal data please read our privacy policy published online at https://www.signlanguage101.com/legal/privacy-policy. By participating in a survey, you acknowledge receipt of notice of the Sign Language 101 Privacy Policy, and if applicable to where you reside, give your consent to Sign Language 101’s use of your personal data provided through your survey participation as explained to you.

In the event you are awarded a prize, you consent to publishing your name online as a prize winner. In the event you provide us with your photo and other related information for public relations purposes, you consent to your use of your personal data. You may withdraw your consent at any time; this does not change the approval given previously to use your personal data up until the time of withdrawal.
