How do I access my courses?

After checkout you should have received both a confirmation email for your purchase and a registration email with a link to create a password and access your course. Please verify the following and let us know if you still have trouble:

Check that the course registration email did not end up in your email client's spam folder.
If the email is not in your spam folder, we'll need to check if your email address was misspelled during checkout. In this case you most likely wouldn't have received the confirmation email or the registration email. Please contact us and we'll check to make sure that you're registered under the correct email.

note: If you previously purchased a course from us and have already created a password, you'll use the same email address and password to access your new course!

We've refreshed the online courses with all new HD video, included quizzes and activity worksheets along with fingerspelling and practice interactions to help extend your learning. Unlike other resources, you'll be able to track your progress, easily transfer between different devices (computer, tablet, phone, etc.) and pick up right where you left off. Most importantly, completing the online course makes you eligible for a certificate of completion.

Will I qualify to be an interpreter after completing your courses?

American Sign Language Interpreters must have a high level of proficiency in ASL that takes years of practice and dedication. While our course can introduce you to ASL, you will need to go on and complete an interpreter training program.

If you would like to become a certified interpreter to interpret for the Deaf community you must take a certification exam that demonstrates both proficiency in ASL production and receptive skills. National certifications also require that you hold a bachelor's degree or associate's degree in sign language. Many people who want to become a certified sign language interpreter graduate from a collegiate American Sign Language Interpreter Training Program (ASLIT). You might check your local university or college to see if this is offered. The requirements to become an ASL interpreter can vary from state to state in the US. It is important to research the regulations and requirements of the state in which you plan to work as an interpreter.

How much time do I have to complete each course?

Once you've paid for the course you'll have access to it for a full year. We recommend completing each level in 5 weeks at a minimum so that you take the time to practice in-between lessons.

We offer a 30-day refund window from your original purchase date for both physical items and online courses, subject to the following conditions:

For Physical Items:

Must be in new and unused condition
All original tags and labels must be attached
Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
Must be postmarked within 30 days of delivery

For Online Courses:

Less than 50% of the course must be completed
No previous refunds received for the course

For Gift Course Purchases:

1. If the gift code hasn't been redeemed yet:

You can get a refund within 30 days of purchase
Only the original purchaser can request the refund
The refund will go back to the original payment method

2. If the gift code has already been redeemed:

The standard course refund policy applies
The recipient needs to have completed less than 50% of the course
The recipient can't have previously received a refund for the course
Any refund will be issued as store credit to the recipient
